The Sapphire Song by Todd Erick Pedersen

The Sapphire Song

A Deeply Spiritual Exerience - Review by Sandy Penny

As I sit trying to write a review of this book, I find it difficult to put into words. It is a deeply emotional spiritual experience of life and love, the seeking of the divine in life and within oneself. It is myth and magic and miracles. It is universal love drawing its pieces together. It is reincarnation and karma, eternal love, the Secret, the search for meaning, coming of age. The long poem reads like an ancient Vedic text, the story is vaguely familiar and hauntingly beautiful. It speaks of dedication to creativity, meaningful work and soul mates reaching out through time and space to find each other. How so much can be in one text is a mystery. Yes, that is what it is, a cosmic mystery, a metaphor, a song like the Songs of Solomon. The ancient style of weaving a fabric of words may not appeal to fast-food writing junkies, but if they bothered to read it, something in them would be touched. It is a soulful meditation and requires contemplation and sitting with the story to integrate all the meanings. It is the journey of the mystic wrapped in a love story. I read it twice before I could write any of this. As was said of all the ancient parables, he who has ears, let him hear. It is a new classic.
